Cultural spring fever in the Royal Gardens of Bad Elster

. "From the ice, streams and brooks are freed, by the spring's fair, revitalising glance; in the valley, hopeful happiness greens..." These world-famous words mark the beginning of Goethe's Easter Walk, a classic of world literature. The cultural and festival town of Bad Elster is now presenting this "Hopeful Happiness in the Elster Valley" as the Chursächsischer Frühlingszauber (Spring Magic of Saxony) to kick off the season in the blossoming royal grounds of the spa town. The fourth edition of the enchanting spring festival will take place from 14 March to 27 April 2025 and, in addition to numerous first-class cultural and theatre events on the "festival mile of short distances", will offer a moving ArtFest weekend in the Capital of Culture region (11.-13 April) and royal Easter holidays around the decorated Easter fountain (17.04.-21.04.).

The centre of the cultural spring growth is the historic King Albert Theatre.
