Young, contemporary theater galore - from all over Europe and in all its forms: Fast Forward 25 presents eight productions from Italy, Finland, France, Slovenia, Germany and the Netherlands from November 13 - 16, 2025, two of them in HELLERAU.
Fast Forward is a European theater festival for young directors. Every year in November, the festival presents four days of productions from all over Europe by artists who are still at the beginning of their careers as directors. The aim is to showcase the diversity of contemporary theater, to provide a platform for young European talent and a place for the audience to make discoveries. Each year, an international jury awards a festival prize among the invited productions. In 2025, the prize will consist of an invitation to a working residency in Dresden in cooperation with HELLERAU - European Center for the Arts. There is also a youth jury and an audience award. Fast Forward was founded in 2011 at the Staatstheater Braunschweig and has been taking place at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden since 2017, for the 15th time in 2025.
