Finally back - and even brighter than ever before: Zoo fans can now secure tickets for the popular winter event Magical Tropical Illumination with numerous new highlights and immerse themselves in a unique winter atmosphere from January 8 to February 8, 2026. Not only can you experience impressive shows on two large stages, glittering walking acts and live bands, you can also take in impressive illuminations on the historic facades and enjoy culinary delights and a magical play of lights in the tropical rainforest of Gondwanaland.

spectacular fire and light shows on two large stages, including Freaks on Fire, Illusion of Dance and the
black light theater by LightOff, among others. Interactive light installations on the way to the tropics, video projections "Under the Sea" and the fascinating immersive sea of lights, in which guests become part of the sparkling water world, complete the new magical experience. The "U25 ticket" is also new - all guests under the age of 25 can visit the magical winter event on Thursday for 10 euros. The ticket on Thursday is also valid for all those entitled to a discount at Leipzig Zoo.
