Start of the 2025 season in the Grosssedlitz Baroque Garden

At a glance

Just 20 kilometers from Dresden city center lies one of the most beautiful gardens in Saxony: the Grosssedlitz Baroque Garden, also known as the Saxon Versailles. With its wide staircases, exotic plants, numerous water features and more than 60 baroque sandstone sculptures, the garden invites you to stroll and linger.

From April 1, 2025, the Grosssedlitz Baroque Garden will open its doors. Over 8,000 early bloomers are waiting to be admired by guests in the flower beds. The guided tour "Of imperial crowns and man's shield" with the gardener takes place on April 12. He reveals the background to the significance and design of the spring planting and gives tips on care.
The public guided tour of the park "History and stories about the Saxon Versailles" is a must for all garden fans.
