Oederan ha ottenuto il privilegio di città mineraria libera 400 anni fa. Oggi, lungo il percorso si trovano numerose targhe che fanno riferimento all'attività mineraria nella regione. Nel Klein-Erzgebirge è possibile visitare mostre speciali su questo tema prima o dopo l'escursione. Il tour inizia anche a Klein-Erzgebirge. Dopo il parco cittadino, si attraversa la Richard-Wagner-Straße e si raggiunge il bosco cittadino. Si raggiunge il sentiero principale attraverso il Borntalweg e l'ex galleria del patrimonio "Neuerbaut Oederan". Passando per la quercia Friedenseiche, si arriva a Ranis, il punto più alto di Oederan (518 metri). Si ritorna a Oederan passando per Görbersdorf.
