Important silver finds at the foot of the Ore Mountains gave rise to the silver city of Freiberg over 850 years ago. During the impressive circular walk, you will embark on a voyage of discovery to the centre of silver mining.

This impressive tour starts in the historic old town of Freiberg at the Untermarkt. On this approximately 10 km long circular walk, you will explore the most important mining field of recent mining history close to the city with the Freiberg silver mine and return to the old town via two more mine shafts. At the mine shafts you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the silver city. The Freiberg mining landscape is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Montanregion Erzgebirge/Krusnohori".

Embark on a voyage of discovery to the centre of silver mining, with its unique cultural landscape. Extend your tour to include what is probably the world's most beautiful mineral show "terra mineralia" in Freudenstein Castle.
