In keeping with the "royal" theme, many royal figures will populate Lichtenwalde Castle Park from 31 August. Thousands of pumpkins of different varieties will be used to create Robin Hood - the king of thieves, a chessboard, a lion, jousting games and an oversized crown. The pumpkin figures, up to three metres tall, can be discovered throughout the baroque palace park - hung all over with Mandarin, Rondini Pattisson and other pumpkins. A total of around 28,000 pumpkins of different varieties will be used to create the figures and decorations. The smallest pumpkins are the size of a tennis ball, while the largest are brought to the pumpkin weighing championship and can weigh up to 500 kg.
