The former Schwarzenberg depot with its impressive locomotive shed is now home to the Schwarzenberg Railway Museum. The proud owner and operator of the site is the Verein Sächsischer Eisenbahnfreunde e.V. It houses one of the largest collections of standard-gauge vehicles in Saxony.

Numerous steam and diesel locomotives of various series, historic wagons and railroad trabants and much more can be admired here by large and small railroad fans. Special occasions, such as the annual Schwarzenberg Railroad Days and concerts, are an unforgettable experience in the special ambience of the railroad grounds. A wedding carriage invites you to a very special trip into marital bliss. Numerous special train rides also offer the opportunity to experience historic railroad technology in action. On the main line of the "Erzgebirgische Aussichtsbahn", you can travel by steam or diesel with magnificent views all the way to Annaberg-Buchholz.
