The family-friendly tour leads from the Dresden Rose Garden with many exciting stopovers through the Dresden Heide.
Family tour through the large, scenic Dresden Heide. Many exciting destinations, such as the climbing park in the middle of the forest, the Hofewiese with horses as well as the game preserve in Albertpark, make the tour an exciting cycling excursion for young and old.

The bike tour starts at the Rosengarten directly on the Elberadweg in Dresden. From here we cross the Bautzner Straße and ride through the most colorful quarter of the city, the Dresdner Neustadt.
After only a few minutes we enter the Prießnitzgrund in the Dresden Heath. Along the river we cycle through the beautiful forest landscape. We reach a highlight in the north of the Heide: the Kletterwald Dresdner Heide. Especially for children from 6 years the stop in the high ropes course between April and October is worthwhile. After that, the tour leads after an ascent to the open space in the middle of the heath - the Hofewiese. Here, not only the horses entice you to pet them, but also the restaurant is a popular destination and invites you to refresh yourself.
The rest of the tour leads east and finally back towards the city. Shortly before the end, we reach another highlight: the game preserve in Albert Park with an adjacent adventure playground. Here lives a herd of fallow deer and mouflons, which are exciting to watch. The forest playground is also worthwhile. Various playground equipment, huts and houses invite you to explore. The rest of the tour leads along the Elbe River to the starting point at the Rose Garden.
Rideable with touring bike, gravel bike or e-bike. Not suitable for racing bike.
