This circular tour invites you to hike in peaceful, charming nature with fascinating views and picturesque landscapes. The alternative route leads past the German Chair Construction Museum, a worthwhile visit.
On this circular tour you can choose from 2 attractive variants: From the Rabenau station of the Weißeritztalbahn or the car park at the Rabenauer Mühle, you can either start through the quiet Buchwald forest to the cycle path, which leads past the Götzenbusch natural monument with a wonderful panoramic view as far as the Dippoldiswalder Heide. Or you can walk along the steep adventure trail "Sagenhafter Mühlberg" (Legendary Mühlberg) into the upper town to the market with the beautiful chair fountain and the post office mile column. The German Chair Construction Museum is located below. It illustrates the development from the chair-making craft to industrial production in the town, but also shows interesting special exhibitions. After the visit, a steel staircase takes you to the foot of the former castle hill and a path also takes you to the cycle path towards Götzenbusch. Then discover numerous historically unique places in the Dippoldiswalder Heide. Once you have reached the Malter Dam, you can take a restful break and then start the return hike to Rabenau through the valley of the Rote Weißeritz. For tired hiking feet, the return trip with the Weißeritztalbahn is also possible.
