L'escursione circolare conduce alla riserva naturale del "Kleiner Kranichsee". Si tratta di una delle torbiere meglio conservate delle regioni di alta montagna. Ma non è solo il Kleiner Kranichsee a valere la pena di essere visto: il sentiero escursionistico porta a Oberjugel, un quartiere di Johanngeorgenstadt, da cui si gode di una vista meravigliosa. Un'altra nuova attrazione del percorso escursionistico circolare è il sentiero didattico delle piante presso il ristorante Henneberg. Qui si possono osservare piante che altrimenti crescono solo nelle torbiere alte. Segnaletica: bianco-giallo-bianco ATTENZIONE: da ottobre 2021, l'escursione sarà segnalata come "Rundwanderweg Henneberg/Oberjugel".
