Enjoy the fantastic view from Kahleberg, 905 m above sea level - the highest peak in the Eastern Ore  Mountains.

Start at the train station in Altenberg and hike towards the summer toboggan. From here the Alte Zaunhäuser Weg begins, which you follow to the intersection with the I-Flügel. Here you turn slightly right onto the Moorweg. It continues until you can switch to the right onto Schneise 30. Follow this up to the top of the Kahleberg. After enjoying the view and a quick snack, head back to the first intersection. Now follow the I-Flügel on the left until you can turn left again after a short time onto Schneise 31. Follow this and pass the large Galgenteich pond. After about 2.5 km, turn right onto the Viehtriftweg. Here you stay right on this one. You will pass the former shooting range. In spring you can experience the unique orchid meadows at this location (Attention - Nature reserve). Follow the path straight ahead, continue on Schellerhauer Weg and back to the starting point.
