The Bio- and National Park Retreat Schmilka is a small holiday and leisure retreat that almost spans the entire small former riverboat village of Schmilka and is 100% dedicated to the organic concept. It is a so-called "Alberghi Diffusi" (from Italian: scattered hotel) – meaning rooms, apartments, holiday homes, the reception, as well as restaurants, event venues, or workshops are not housed in the same building. The village of Schmilka becomes the actual hotel: the rooms and holiday apartments are not lined up along a long corridor on several floors, but are scattered throughout the entire village.
In the cold season, Schmilka transforms into a dream of ice and snow: the winter village. Then, guests can relax in the heated wooden tubs, let their souls unwind in the panorama sauna, or enjoy mulled wine by the fireplace in the Mühlenhof. The Bio- and National Park Retreat Schmilka is organically certified (DE-ÖKO 006). You can conveniently reach Schmilka by the S-Bahn S1 from Dresden, with the stop Schmilka-Hirschmühle. Cross with the historic ferry "Lena" from 1924, and your vacation can begin.
