Das Plagwitzer Villenviertel

The list of names of the house and villa residents in Plagwitz reads like a "Who is who" of Leipzig's economic history. Not far from the impressive factory buildings, industrial magnates, mechanical engineering and printing directors, brewery owners, as well as artists like Max Klinger, Johannes Hartmann, and Mathieu Molitor, and entrepreneurs like Rudolf Sack and Wilhelm Frosch, who was the owner of "Grohmann & Frosch-Werke," lived here between Karl-Heine-Straße and Elisabethallee in Gründerzeit and Art Nouveau villas.
