Stötteritz is already an old industrial site. There was a brewery, iron foundry, cigar factory, and piano manufacturing here as early as the 19th century. In the 20th century, well-known art institutions and printing companies, such as Trenkler, Trinks, Eschebach & Schäfer and Kirstein, Günther & Wendler, established themselves here, as well as the printing roller factory Felix Böttcher and machine engineering factories, such as Atlaswerke and the shoe factory Burckhardt. Mostly, only the factory buildings remain, whose beauty is being rediscovered today.
